How to install KVM

To run our JAVA applet on your Palm,
KVM.prc
KVMutil.prc
MathFP.pdb

are needed.

Please refer to JAVA2 Micro Edition (J2ME) Connected, Limited Device Configuration (CLDC), K Virtual Machine (KVM) for Palm.

You can download J2ME CLDC/KVM Release 1.0 through Sun Community Source License (SCSL)

I am so sorry but Sun Microsystems HP is too hard for me to understand fully. I made agreement for this License and download two ZIP file. But after that time, I never can find where these two files were put on. Please find by yourself.
If you can read Japanese Language this two site will help you to install KVM.

j2me_cldc-1_0-src-winsol.zip(4,800,591byte)

j2me_cldc-1_0-src-palm_overlay.zip(520,634byte)

After you unpack zip file, you will find KVM folder. you need HotSync KVM.prc and KVMutil.prc to your Palm.

From KVM Release 1.0, we can not use floating point calculation. So please download MathFP_CLDC1_2_2 and HotSync MathFP.pdb to your palm.

It is good idea to use POSE(Palm OS Emulator). POSE need ROM image.
I found trouble Visor with USB cradle to get ROM Image. Please use Serial Cradle.

I checked my applets POSE and Visor. But Because of Visor OS(ver 3.1H), I can use so small heap memory. If you want to use huge JAVA program(like database), you would be better wait OS 3.5.

If someone know how to fix these problem, please let me know.
